Mon. & Tues.Sept. 26 & 27, 2011
1. Create a Power Point slide show on the last ten Geo. Terms.

1. Plain – A large area of flat or nearly flat land
2. Cape -- Point of land that extends into a river, lake, or ocean
3. Source—the place where a river begins
4. Volcano -- Mountain created as liquid rock and ash erupt from the inside the earth
5. Plateau—A high, flat landform that rises steeply above the surrounding land.
6. Delta-- Flat, low-lying land built up from soil carried downstream by a river and deposited at its mouth
7. Glacier -- A huge sheet of ice that moves slowly across the land
8. Desert – a very dry area where few plants grow
9. Oasis –a place in the desert made fertile by a steady supply of water
10. Mountain range-- A series of connected mountains

If you finish the PPT with the 10 terms and the 3 Critical Thinking Questions,
you may research current events concerning the earth and add more slides to your
Geo Terms PPT. Use EarthWeek website.

Wed. & Thurs., Sept. 28 & 29, 2011
1. Finish creating your Geo Terms power point slide show.
Make sure you have the following:
*All ten terms asked in a question with the answer (terms listed above)
*3 critical thinking questions
*1 to 2 slides with information from Earthweek website
2. When you are finished with the PPT, save it to the Ramsey folder.
Then work on the Geo Terms crossword puzzle. Use this online landforms glossary HERE.
When you finish the puzzle, KEEP it in your binder under “daily” tab.
3. If you finish all of the above, you may begin the Royal Castle Floor Plan worksheet.
Follow the directions carefully and do what it says. KEEP it in your binder.

Friday, Sept. 30, 2011
1. After you take the Focus Test and turn it in, upload your Geo Terms PPT to your homeroom's wiki page. Only one student at a time can upload, so use King Tut statue as a place marker on your desk and then return to table for others to use.
2. As you are waiting to upload to the wiki, you may play practice Geo Terms games at a site called Zondle.
